FG-Stress by Slate Digital is out!!!
they say:

The FG-Stress is a licensed 1:1 emulation of the Empirical Labs Distressor. Every aspect of the Distressor has been recreated, including the unique topology of each of its ratios, and its proprietary audio and detection path options.
FG-Stress, like its hardware counterpart, is one of the most musical and versatile compressors available. It can morph into compressors of the past, including VCA, Opto, and Tube models.
Sound engineer community is blowing up, the overall feedback is highly positive. Folks who use the real hardware for many years says that the software is indistinguishable from the hardware.
I’ve been beta testing it for several weeks, and during that period I got too addicted. It’s on every track, it’s the first module I always reach when starting something new. I thought nothing can impress me. I was mistaken.
For some magical reason, it stays transparent even at highest gain reduction levels. And it does wonders to the transients, in the way I haven’t experienced before.
It is highly CPU friendly.
I have many compressors and FG-Stress are now my top of the line unit.
During the beta test, we’ve done many software vs hardware comparison tests and I never managed to distinguish what is what. hands down.

Congratulations to the whole Slate Digital team. It worth every month of waiting.
